Participants were excited about to receive their free haircuts and to learn about the renovations that are going on in the garden. Participants received a tour of the garden and learned about the kind of plants and trees that were there and they were able to spread grass seeds to the areas that needed them. Nobel Neighbors gathers every other Tuesday of the month for breakfast at Bills located at 4359 West Division in Chicago IL. In addition to community residents, local politicians often drop by to connect with their constituents. It’s a great opportunity to meet your neighbors and talk to the people who represent you, If you are interested in learning more about the breakfast at Bills contact our program coordinator Ms. Jackson at 312-783-5528

New basketball court in the community.
Nobel Neighbors program coordinator Ms. Jackson stays in sync with new developments in the community. Residents need to know what is being done in their community and who they need to go to when things need to be done. Even though a lot of negative things are reported in the media great things happen in our community as well. A new basketball court was installed on the 600 North block of Harding.
Child Abuse Awareness
Safety is a major concern in the community that we serve. Nobel Neighbors was surprised to learn that the 25th District was number 7 in the city for reports of child abuse. Nobel Neighbors board president collaborated with the 25th police district and West Park Academy to host an awareness event to educate the community on the topic of child abuse.
